Dearest Villagers,
For those of you who haven’t been counting down the days until we get to spread delicious, thick, gooey, clotted cream and jam of the sweetest succulent strawberries onto the very lightest, crumbliest and perfectly baked scones nom nom nom…….. sorry, where was I?
Oh yes! – the Cream Tea is this Sunday (25th) at 3.30 PM. Please don’t miss it – it’s one of the highlights of the VH social calendar and a wonderful event. The 50+ Club draw for THE BIG £100 PRIZE will take place, and Maggie has asked me to pass on the following:-
“Many thanks to everyone who has already signed up for next year’s 50+ club. If you have not quite got round to entering or have put the entry form somewhere, but can’t remember where, or the dog / cat / hamster / ocelot ate it, don’t worry – we have attached a copy here for you – many thanks”
Please also find the latest Social Events calendar – so any dates of which you may previously been unaware can now be added to your “Golly Gosh Mustn’t Miss” list – inked in thick red marker pen. I’m only allowed crayons…. I wonder why??
